I just wanted to update and let everyone know how my remote start is going. I have had it for about two weeks so far and am so happy with the purchase.

Total cost was $55ish from amazon and one of my 15 minute breaks at work. Sure as hell can't beat that...

The first day having it I did notice that my clock was off as another member mentioned, but it hasn't been off since fixing it that first time. I do wish the range was a tad longer, but it still works perfect for 99% of the times I need it. And the install was literally done during one of my breaks at work, with time to test it out and everything..

To anyone on the fence about buying this, DO IT.. well worth it and imo your best bet considering everything else either give you a hidious fob or costs 500 from the dealer.

Got mine in the mail yesterday, installed in less than 10min after the wife got home.. Works perfectly! The clock was off after too, I'm just guessing it has something to do with unplugging the ign. switch. Now I just have to find a white/purple wire to hook up the parking lights. I hate not having the lights come on, unless you stick your head out the door you can't tell if the car started or not..

I can hear the truck fine, installed a factory remote start on it almost 2yrs ago. The DBall went on the wifes Journey. You can barely hear that thing run when you're standing next to it.

Mine works great so far. Guess I've been lucky with lights. Keep mine on auto and its been dark enough every time

I have confirmed that both my wife's ride and mine have the switch but the vehicle still starts with hood open

The switch under the hood must have only been wired for the factory remotes not the aftermarket ones I had added.

It will work on the 09s!! its 06 and up i believe

Correct. Keyless entry is all I had. Press the lock button 3 times in a few seconds and the truck starts.
