I'm new to the Ram family with my recently purchased 2012 1500 5.7L...I was wondering what I can expect when I finally get a chance to get the truck a little muddy...My experience with off roading is limited to a 99 gmc sierra 5.3...Can I expect this Ram to be just as good with equal tires? Thanks.

The traction control will try and fight you cutting power. After you put the truck in 4x4 press and hold the traction butting for about 5 sec, it will display esp disabled. Do you have a limited slip rear axle?

Look at your window sticker or build sheet. It will say limited slip differential

Check your build sheet or window sticker, it should say "Anti-Spin Differential"
