No, it's plug and play. Some of the features may not work with out further hardware modifications though. It depends on what radio you're starting with.

I have the crappy base radio, 3.0 maybe so I'm curious what features of yours wouldn't work if I swapped it out? Also I'd have to look at mine to make sure the bezel is the same as mine. Just did the center console swap and bought a new bezel so I don't want to have to look for another one.
