So I had posted the problem I had with my 5,7 2013 .....local shop thinks it is a cam phaser. ...one dealer I called said this engine doesn't have cam phasers.?..or a cam phaser....I don't know if there would be more than one or even what they are..but....

My question is would a cam phaser fix ..?repair or replacement. ..whatever they have to do. .... be covered under the 5 year 100 warranty? As that is all I have left on my ram

If you have VVT, you have cam phasers. Your dealer is an idiot.

Should be covered under drivetrain warranty but be prepared for your dealer to not directly take the advice of a indy shop before they work on it and may have to "diagnosis" it themselves again.

They may not call it a phaser, but that's exactly what it is.

Take it to a dealer, it should be covered under drivetrain as Hootbro said.

You throwing any codes? Cam Phasers will throw down codes rather quickly if something is amiss ever so slightly.

As stated there is a cam phaser on there. It is probably covered under power train warranty. Just take it to the dealer. What is the problem though?

You called a stealership, not dealership.

Actually RAM Cares responded to your other post. Gave you chapter and verse of the warranty and its pretty clear to me anyway you are covered under warranty (regardless of what your bicycle shop may have diagnosed right or wrong as being the root cause).

Get it to a dealer for warranty repair.
