I would like to hear from 5th generation Cummins owners who have had a roller cam failure. I purchased a 2020 2500 new and still only have 23K miles since it is used just to pull my toy hauler in the summer. I'm on my 4th oil change and am using 10W30 Full synthetic diesel oil. I've seen many YouTube clips showing the failures and replacements with solid lifter cams. Recently i had a Banks Monster intake installed and figured it was good insurance. Has there been a class action suit brought against Ram or Cummins for this cam and lifter issue?

FYI there is no 5th Generation on the HD line of trucks only on the 1500 trucks are they called 5th Gen, at best some call the 2025+ a 4.5 Gen due to the transmission change over from 6 speed to an 8 speed, as for bad lifters is a crapshoot if or when it will happen so would not worry, nothing you can do until you start to have problems, no one has tried a class action suit the reason are obvious, as for the Banks not sure why so many spend that kind of money, if your worried about grid heater you can get a better set up for less and the money you save you could afford to buy lots of red paint to paint on the stock air horn, jmho
