So recently there has been some ticking noise coming out of my engine and i’m worried it could be blown, hoping it’s just spark knock, recently my nearest gas station wasn’t offering 87 which i always use and so i put 89 octane in and i noticed a difference in power with the truck but now when it warms up i hear a ticking noise that gets faster with rev but around 3k rpm’s it goes away the truck isn’t throwing any codes but when u get near the muffler after it’s warm and been driven, and the bay makes a tick noise like two wrenches taping eachother Also when i let it cool down it goes away or when i rev it it will stop it’s very quiet but noticeable when u pay attention

Sounds like an exhaust leak or a broken manifold bolt. I wouldn't worry about that small of an octane change.
