Can someone enlighten me, I'm about to pull the trigger on the belltech kit but I was wondering for the bump stop do u need a grinder to take off the stock bump stops? Or would I be able to swap it out with the shorter stop that come with the kit. Thanks.

use the bump stops that come in the kit unless you're planning to go lower, then you'll need to remove them.

As per instructions from Belltech the front factory bump stop cups should be removed.

I left the factory bump stops on mine, honestly I like the way it rides. On my 15 it looks like the factory bump stops are bolted in, I am not sure but it doesnt look like you would need to cut anything to put the belltech stops in. It looks like you would just need to jack up the frame to lower the control arm to get room to remove the bump stop.

Is yours dropped 2/4? How much travel do you have before you hit the factory bump stops? U keptboth the front and rear factory?

I am dropped 4 inches of suspension drop in the front and around 5 inches of spring drop in the back. Then wheels and tires shorter than stock and drop me another 1-1.5". If you look back through this thread I posted a picture of the front stock bumpstop at ride height. It looks really close but its a soft bump stop so it gives quite a bit. I probably have 2 inches of up travel on the front. Rear is a totally different story, I have the poly bump stops that come with the McGauhys 2/4 drop and with the 4 inch spring cut 2 coils. I bottom out on hard bumps (think like railroad tracks at speed). The poly bump stops dont have as much give as the stock foam do, so when the back bottoms out it hits hard. 99% of the time the ride is fine, but if I hit a pot hole or a shift in pavement, I hear it.

Price you pay for looking cool.

If you do a search for threads I started, there is a picture of my truck completely stock. Top of this thread is current pics.
