5000k halogen lights

I'm pretty uninformed when it comes to lighting. The lighting output for my quad (was originally duals) stock bulbs is fine but I would like a white light instead of warm color. I don't think I want to spend the money on HIDs since I'm not looking for brighter output, just looking for a whiter color. Any draw backs to 5000k halogens such as the ones listed below?

Yup, besides the whiter color they burn hotter and last maybe 1-3 months before they burn out. HID kits from DDM are only 30$ plus about $15 shipping and they will last u a few years (like 3 -5) before either the bulb or ballast gives u trouble.

If your not looking for the brightness of HID I would go with the new LED ballast kits and are like $60.
