So I just installed the 6” superlift on my 2009 1500. I have my bilsteins at the setting above stock which is .7” . And even with the included diff drop bracket and bils at .7 my cv angles are pretty terrible AND my truck still has 1.5” of rake. I really want to bring my bilsteins up a little higher so my truck to sit level but I don't want to lower the rear any. Any suggestions? I heard zone has some kind of diff drop kit for our trucks as well. I wonder If those would work on a lifted truck? Hmm.... suggestions?

You have a 6” superlift? I have a 4” superlift and my bilsteins are at .7” as well. The 6” bumps them to 2.8”. My cv axle is also completely flat with them set to .7” Does your cv axles bind at full droop?

I haven’t noticed any binding at full droop. I did some off-roading this past weekend and it locked into 4x4 and drove flawlessly. I got in contact with the company and they said these angles are normal for the 09-11’s since the diffs sit higher than the newer ones. Also they include only the 4” diff drop kit (same one that comes with the 4” lift) just to save money on parts and what not. As for the rake they’re sending me out a set of shocks from the 4” kit to hopefully level it out.

Im a 3/4 ton guy, so dont know a lot about the ifs game. But, from what I gather there is no way to get better axleshaft angles unless you either lower the diff, or lower the front of the truck.

Your truck looks damn level to me... I dont think I would want the front any higher personally, judging from that pic anyway.

Yeah the angles are a little steep but they’re not too concerning where they are now. I just didn’t want to go any higher on the front. So as it sits now it’s about 1.5” higher in the rear. If I didn’t buy the bilsteins and just left the stock struts up front I would’ve had about 2” of rake. I personally like my truck to be 100% level or even 1” of “squat” wouldn’t bother me. As long as it doesn’t look ridiculous like some guys who run oem suspension in the rear and like 6 or more inches in the front.

They’re sending me coil springs* not shocks. Sorry about that.

Did you install the trim pack in the coil AND crank the Bils up?

I’m not sure what you mean by trim pack. But I did use the preload spacer they included. Supposedly with bilsteins you’re not suppose to use it. But if I wouldn’t have.. I’d have even more rake.

Yep, that’s what I was referring too. The front diff on the newer trucks is a high pinion and I would think that would really only affect the driveshaft angle, not the the cv’s.

from what I remember, the 6” Superlift is essentially a stretched 4” lift, I believe the part numbers for the knuckles and front diff brackets are the same(between the 4” and 6”, not the 9-12 year models and 13+).

Based on how my truck sit right now, I could crank my Bils up all the way which would put me at 6.8” of lift I highly doubt my cv angles would look like that. Not sure this info is really helping your issue........

Seems like a dumb question... but Im gonna ask it anyway LOL. In the pics I can see that the lower control arms were obviously lowered, but was the actual differential lowered?
