What are people doing for exhaust upgrades on the gas job trucks? Im thinking about getting a Mufflex muffler delete kit from Moe's has anyone installed one?

I have the rear self leveling suspension so I could not do a single in / dual out muffler as I had planned so I just went with a Magnaflow #14262 (3" single in/single out, offset/offset, 24" OAL) and a resonator delete to open it up a bit and get more sound.

It has a nice burble at idle, cruising down the road you can sort of hear it (because I have no resonator) and at WOT it sounds beastly. :)

Hey maddog how is the drone sound with mds engaged I always hear it's noisy with the after market mufflers

I knew I was taking a chance when I did the reso delete at the same time but it isn't as bad as I thought it could be.

There is some around 1800 - 2000 RPM cruising in full auto on the freeway and, while it's more than I am used to, it's not obnoxious or obtrusive. If it bothers me, I just turn up the audio system a bit.

I've tried being in manual mode (+5 or +6) and it pretty much goes away as the RPM's at 65 mph are above 2000.

Bottom line: I'd do it the same way again knowing what I know now.

I've already cut the reso off and want something that has a nice tone that's not too loud.

In the next week, week and a half this should be ordered.

Going to just do turn downs for now. Later I'll reconfigure the duals. Went back and forth on spending a little extra for magnaflow or going with jones exhaust. But with very limited sound clips available for any of the mufflers I was looking at I found a 6.4L ram clip with the 3" inlet version of the magnaflow and had the sound I was looking for.

Well after doing some measuring, that muffler was to wide to fit. So I broke down and picked up the mufflex dd250035. Install was relatively easy. Took just under a hour to do. So I was able to do it in the parking lot on my lunch break. At first I thought it was going to be to loud but once the engine warmed up it mellowed out. I'll get picks and a vid hopefully tomorrow

Def put up a video when you can. Thinking about getting the delete version but not sure extremely loud it will be. Video they have on youtube isn't the greatest and hopefully with yours I can see how loud it might be

It will be stupid loud with the delete.

Flowmaster has two 18" mufflers "Specifically designed for Dodge trucks with Hemi engines", 853558
953558 (stainless or aluminized). They also have a 22" version in the 50 series (53550, 53553) although the 550 seems to have been recently discontinued but still available on some sites.

Magnaflow has a 22" muffler that some have adapted with very little effort. I'm running this muffler now with their cat-back kit, and it's a little on the loud side for my taste but it doesn't drone fortunately.

This was pretty much everything I could find with a 3.5" inlet/outlet that wasn't a glasspack style muffler.

I tried to get one today inside the cab with my cell phone but you could barely hear it at cruising speed. I'll try tomorrow with something else

Is yours the delete or the mild version?

Last time I looked they had the delete and the "moderate" version. If they made a "mild" I would buy one. I called Mufflex and they did not appear to be interested.
