91 octane or better gas / a good tune, and all the front drive accessories / oil pan / oil pick-up tube / 6.4 truck windage tray / sensors off your 5.7 / and the pilot bushing from an 8 speed will need to be installed in the crank if the 6.4 is a manual transmission version of the 6.4.What does it take to put a 6.4 srt in 2017 ram with a 5.7.trns mission controller etc.?
LOL... Just don't delete torque control in the tune or your drive train will hate you and make you regret the move..There is the truck 6.4,which is a torque monster ,and it'll live on 87 octane with it's lower compression.
Living up here in the Yukon $2.40 a liter I'm Currently regretting my 6.4 swap lol. She's become a piggy in fuel.91 octane or better gas / a good tune, and all the front drive accessories / oil pan / oil pick-up tube / 6.4 truck windage tray / sensors off your 5.7 / and the pilot bushing from an 8 speed will need to be installed in the crank if the 6.4 is a manual transmission version of the 6.4.
Generally most guys claim they get better milege with the 6.4 over their 5.7's,but the higher compression 10.9:1 version of the 6.4 requires at a mininium 91 octane fuel, and from personal experience is happier on 93 or 94 then it is on 91,so the better milege is offset by the higher cost of the fuel required.

Been there/done that and it's an expensive lessonLOL... Just don't delete torque control in the tune or your drive train will hate you and make you regret the move..
That's how i ended up with the "Green" sheet. Back in the early days of 8 speed tuning, before anybody had really figured them out tune wise,we kept leaning on my tranny until the transmission finally said F-you guys.is this considered #1 diesel?I have an 06 Jetta diesel. Looove it, especial with work freezel at my fingertips.
Sister has one too and would never trade it. Really sips fuel.I have an 06 Jetta diesel. Looove it, especial with work freezel at my fingertips.
Yes it'd be considered #1 diesel. #2 diesel gels up too quickly up here and our weather is so unpredictable we could be hot one day and literally freezing the next.is this considered #1 diesel?
