Hi guys, New to these forums.I got my son a 2002 ram and we got a rough country 6in lift. I'm buying tires n wheels tomorrow, I've got different responses on what to buy n watt not to buy. I'm thinking of getting him 35x12.50x20 durun mud tires and 20 in xd monster wheels. Will that affect the power drastically? It's a 4.7 2wd quad cab. Thanks in advance for responses.

From what I see on the forum, the larger the tire you get the larger the gear ratio you need to be about the same.

I have a stock suspension with 20x9 in rims with a deep offset and 12.50 in wide tires... great grip I love them

I have a question about the lift kit I'll pm you if you don't mind

what effects the power a lot is the total mass of the tire/wheels 35 inch 10 ply tires are very heavy compared to a stock tire. itll kill some power for sure but can be regained with a superchip tune get 35s with a deep negative offset stick those ******* out wide. odds are u have like 3.55 gearing in that 2wd if u had 3.90 it would be tolerable. 3.55s on 35s will be slow

you can run it, but if the truck has 3.55 gears it will be noticeable
