Hey guys. I've been a member for a while but have never posted before. I've got a 2012 express 4x4 that I'm about to lift. I got my 6" rcx lift today. Everything looks good, but I was under the impression that it came with rear coil springs and mine came with spacers. Did they change it or are they all like that.

The 2 kits I had used coils. Looks like they changed the kit

Yeah the guy at the shop ordered mine and he was confused as well. He said they must be using spacers now instead.

Yeah I was confused and disappointed. I called rough country and the guy I talked to acted like they've always used the spacers. They should offer both options

I've got to call them Monday because I'm short 2 sway bar link brackets and I'll ask about the coils and see if I'm able to still get them

I called them yesterday and talked to a different guy, who was very helpful. He's got my 2 brackets coming to me and I asked him about the rear coil spacers. Apparently, when they first made the rear coils for there kit, they were told there was only one coil for our trucks. They later found out that they are different from left to right side and different depending on what truck you have. Because of that, they have had a lot of complaints with there coils, so they decided to use spacers.

Yea I was told it's just a new revision that the rear coils were giving some guys too much rear lift, plus I've noticed the coils start to look arched. Seems like the new rear spacers will just be better for many reasons! Only bad thing I can see is guys like myself and many others stack other company spacers with the RCX rear coils to get more lift in conjunction with bilstein front adjustable shocks but that will no longer be possible.
