7" Cluster and radio mod, lost temp and compass

Hello,

I have done the cluster and 5.0 to 8.4 mod, but I lost my temp and compass.


In fact I had it in my cluster before and after the cluster mod, but on the 7" evic when I try to change the temp or compass on one of the four corner, it disappear from the list. If I don't save it I will keep my temp. But I saved it for the compass and there is not way to get it again.

Also it don't show up on the radio . I still have the temp on my cluster for now but I cannot change it's position.


Someone know why ?

No how I can reset the cluster ? I didn't reset the radio also

Radio= hold temperature up and down simultaneously for 5 seconds to bring up the engineering menu. Towards the bottom is the option for factory reset.

Cluster= with vehicle in park, go to the settings menu. There should be a reset option in there.

I've read on the forum that someone hard reset his radio and lost navigation. Is it frequent or his the only one who got this ? I don't want to loose my navigation to only get temp and compass on it.

That is typically a very particular set of circumstances. Most of us have no problem resetting, not should you. I only know of that happening 2 or 3 times after the firmware was updated.

I've tried both. I got back my compass on my cluster, but it will disappear from the list if I change it. But for now I have it. I reset my radio, but I still not have the compass and temp on it. I thought it will reset everything even the software update, but it kept my last update.

For the first 10 second I loose my navigation but it came back after

It will take several power cycles for everything to go back to normal. A power cycle is key out, door opened and closed.

I got an issue with that.

I have a 3x lock remote start. I can unlock and lock my door normally if I dont start the truck.

But if I start the truck before, my remote will not unlock the doors or lock it either.

I need to use the key to manually unlock the door. Also I turn the key on and if I touch the brake the truck will die. I need to restart the truck by turning the key again.

I seems to have a problem with me remote start since I done that.

Anyone have an idea why?

Post this in the Xpresskit DBall thread. I'm thinking you need to contact the seller and reflash the firmware. Someone in that thread may know the answer.
