8.4” Uconnect issue

I got in my truck one day after work and the Uconnect never fired up just a black screen, so I stopped and restarted my truck a few times to see if anything would change then I got these 2 thing pop up on the screen and the Uconnect hasn’t worked since, I’ve tried soft resets and in hooked the battery but still nothing, has anyone had this issue and have any fixes besides a trip to the stealership?

What year is this truck? Is this a factory installed 8.4?

Honestly I've never seen that error before. You can try a firmware update possibly. What is the soft reset you tried?

Soft rest is pressing the Volume button and Channel button simultaneously for about 10 seconds. Screen will go blank then, reload everything.

I don’t know what “dealer mode” is. My SIRIUS XM icon disappeared somehow as well as the WiFi icon (subscription) after servicing. I did the reset and both icons reappeared. Worked for me.

How does one get into dealer mode? I’ve done the soft resets and sometimes my radio is working sometimes it isn’t.

I recently had my heater core replaced at the dealership so I’m wondering if maybe something just wasn’t fully reconnected when it was re installed

Press the temperature down blue arrow, up red arrow and your front defrost button at the same time and hold for about 10 seconds. It will automatically switch to dealer mode.

So I tried this multiple times with both temperature controls and nothing happened. Took it to the dealer and they said the unit was cooked and I needed another but it’s on back order and 3 months out.

I highly recommend replacing the unit yourself. It takes about 30 minutes and will save you lots of money vs the dealer cost (new or salvage)

Yeah I was thinking that to, but it still works sometimes so even just taking it out and checking the connections just to make sure it’s none of them and not just the dealership trying to pull a fast one.
