I have an issue and hope I can get some help here. I recently traded a guy on Facebook for an 8.4 stereo. I already know I shouldn't have trusted anyone on Facebook with a transaction like this. This is my issue. Most of the time the radio doesn't power up. Sometimes it's 2 or 3 minutes and other times it takes up to 30 minutes to boot up. I checked the connection and it's snug. The 911 screen comes up even though I purchased the purple bypass wire. The Navigation showed me in Sacramento, CA when I first plugged it in and now it shows San Antonio, TX all while I live in Houston, TX. It states it needs to be calibrated and per the directions from Connect its unable to calibrate. When it does power up it plays the radio stations and media both wired and bluetooth with no issues. Just no Navigation and intermittent power.
Oh one more thing. When it doesn't power up the A/C blows hot air. Like the compressor doesn't turn on. If I say screw it because I seriously doubt the dealer will help me. $295 to test it. I might as well go with an aftermarket, but will the A/C work?
