hi everybody! I am new the the forum and relatively new to the Ram Family. I have a 2015 Ram 1500 Tradesman and upgrade from the Ra1 3.0 uconnect to the 8.4 Ra3 uconnect radio. I installed everything including the new ac module and harness to go with it. Problem is, the ac is only shooting out warm air. Any suggestions or ideas as what it might be?

If it worked before the upgrade, then something is likely wrong with the installation. Is this a DIY upgrade or did you buy a radio kit? I'd go over the installation again and make sure everything is connected to right plugs, grounds, etc. Some of these kits come with resistor and additional items to convert from a 4 speed fan to a seven speed.

I purchased the parts separately. The AC harness i purchased from 4thgen ram electronics but upon install i noticed that one import is still available on the radio bezel

I'm not familiar with that brand conversion harness so can't give any info on that. I recomend M2mods for any conversion harnesses. I have installed several if their harnesses for various mods several trucks with no issues. It's most likly a problem wirh the heater control module, bezel or harness. The extra Falkra connector on the back of the radio is normal and has nothing to to with the HVAC operation. There is a slot in the back of the bezel that looks like its for an extra connector but its not. Check all your connectors in your harness and check all the pins to make sure none are bent or broken. Try turning on the A/C using both the soft keys on the radio plus the button on the bezel. Does the A/C turn and the LED light in the switch illuminate but blows hot or does the system not even turn on? What part# heater control module did you use?

Yeah I followed everything to a T and tried using both the controls via radio as well as the bezel. The part number is 68105017AE

I had the exact same issue on my truck. Everything was tested and was fine. After about 2 weeks of screwing around I had the AC recharged and ****, the issue was gone. The module might change the lower end of the compression that causes the clutch to not engage. You can test the clutch on the compressor to see if it engages, move the clutch plate to see if it is seized(engine off) and jump the connection to see if it will engage.
