8.4n Looses its freaking mind!!!!

Truck is over 2 years old, and I have been very happy that I have not had any of the issues that have plagued the 8.4n, until now.
The truck was in for service a week ago, all they had to do was install a seat lumbar switch, noticed on the service receipt that another update had been preformed.
Now my volume control readout is out of sync, and my cell is no longer recognized by the truck, push the phone button and say call someone, and get back "no devices are connected". Then 60 seconds later the truck places the call. I attempted to hang up, but the radio would not respond, even pushed the disconnect on my phone and it still would not disconnect. After talking I could hear the other party hang up, but the connection continued for another 30 seconds before it finally hangs up. Then the music won't come back on for a period of time, I can change the function to radio and press a preset station button and nothing for up to a minute.
Frickin thing has lost its mind. Made an appointment in 2 weeks, and its still under warranty.

You could try to disconnect the battery and see if that resets the system. For the phone issue have you tried to delete the phone as well as have your phone forget the uconnect and then pair all I've again.
Worth trying I think and if that doesn't work, as you said, it's still under warranty

Yeah, delete the phone pairing as previously mentioned from the radio for both phone and USB audio. Also, do a manual power on and power on of your phone and then re-pair it. This is what I had to do after a radio update.

I have cycled power to the phone, no change.
I attempted to delete then reconnect the phone but the radio does not recognize that a phone is connected so it won't let me click on that option.
Its stuck like chuck.
Wife's I phone reacts the same way, its definitely truck related.

Factory reset the radio.

As suggested, factory reset everything. I that doesn't do it, then its a trip to the dealer. This is why I paid for the electronics 5 year warranty. Most units will fail in the first 3 years or last "forever".

Hell I wouldn't try to fix it at all !

Video all the crazy things to show to the dealer .
If your lucky you'll get a new Radio !

Honestly, it sounds like just a bad radio update. If you grab an empty USB Drive, you could download it from the UConnect site and update the radio yourself and see if that fixes it.

I can live with it till next Friday, not going to waste my time or frustration when its under warranty. Hopefully the will replace the stupid thing.
