Hi I was wondering if anyone had a Moe's 87mm throttle body that could give me a measurement on inside diameter. Should this be 87mm?
Outside diameter I have 87mm and inside diameter I have 80mm on my stock. The one I purchased was told it looks the same.
How are these measured?

I think they only bore out 1/2 of the inner body. If you bought it from Moe's, don't worry- it's right.
I would suggest port-matching it to the intake manifold though. Wit the TB sitting on the IM, hold the butterfly open and scribe the inside of the TB with something sharp onto the throat of the IM. Remove the TB and use a Dremel to remove the extra material inside of the scribe line.
Knife edging doesn't hurt of you're careful, too.

Measure the inside diameter. It should be 83mm at the front and back, and if you look closer to the blade, you will see where it is cut deeper. The 87mm measurement is from the inside port. A true bore 87mm from front to back would actually slow your truck down. The reason we taper the port is to increase airflow while also increasing airspeed. It also creates a smoother transition to your intake manifold opening which is only 82.5mm. This gives both better power and throttle response.

A true bore 87mm from front to back will move more air, but it will move through there slower causing a loss of tq. It will also require you to port match your intake manifold to the larger bore.

I will get a better look when I take it off to install the cai. So it's only bored at the blade then. Then you have the ridge to create a venturi effect. Ok should be all good. I was confused with the chrysler stamp in it. Thanks for the quick response.

That's because I believe they use an oem tb.... nice part is the dealer may never know it's been ported because from the outside it looks factory.
