Well I have had a total failure of my rear end. The carrier broke and sent crap all over and messed up the gear set with only 14k on it. It was an Auburn which I will be throwing into the garbage can. I think the Auburn was my issue as I got 100k out of it but it is gone!
I wanted to see what you all thought would be my options.
1) swap to another axle:
I have not liked the 9.25 and the pinion recall etc it has been garbage and I probably should have let Dodge buy it back.
2) rebuild again with the following parts
YG C9.25-456 - Yukon gear set
AK 6410 axle bearings and seals
913A368 Eaton Detroit Trutrac
Master kit with Koyo or Timken bearings.
Anyone swapped the 4th gen to a better/stronger rear axle?

Temkin bearings. They’re made in Ohio. I’ve hauled a lot of steel into their plant. And hauled some of their machinery out too.

I have used not Timken and Koyo. Both are owned by Koyo now anyway.
I thought timken was now mfg in China.
Nope

You might want to check that, they closed the Canton Ohio plant. Go to AutoZone and take a look. Wheel bears, timken box, part has made in China in easy to read embossed letters.
Hmm I used to haul steel in there but then again it was 15 years ago. I apologize for being set on they were still USA made
