Not quite sure what they are talking about. My '14 Ram has the reflector quad headlights. Guess I am not sure which are my DRL's , if I even have them. Think I do as I see them on the back of the vehicles ahead of me, but unsure where they are located in my headlights (Directionals, High Beam bulb etc). Reason for asking is I see where some of the LED 9005 Hi Beam bulbs, say they won't work if the DRL's also run off the High Beam bulb as well. Please explain to me , as I am looking at the LASFIT 9005 LED High Beam bulbs for my truck.

When in DRL mode the bulb runs at a lower voltage so most LED's will not work in that application. They need around 10v-13v dc (typically) so if the DRL voltage is 7.2v (which I believe it is) they will not work.

I have tried this and the led in fact does not work. My question is if I convert to projectors with the harness, does my DRL still use high beam at low power?
