Got into the truck today, almost 120° here. I crank on the A/C as soon as the engine is started, the compressor kicks on with an audible groan, that’s never happened before.
Air starts coming out mildly cold, then it comes out EXTREMELY hot, ambient outside air temp is what i’m guessing.
Pop open the hood, compressor isn’t spinning.
I shut the engine off, crank it back over to hope it’ll start working, but i was dead wrong.
Immediately hear a relatively loud sound of something like air escaping from a tiny hole, pop open the hood, there’s green fluid all over the compressor, dripping from the Suction side nipple thing of the A/C tubing.
Don’t know if this makes any difference, but after this happened the A/C compressor kicked on and the A/C started to blow cold air again.
