A/C problem...help

I just recently bought a 2012 ram 1500 5.7. the a/c has worked great for 2 months...now just blows hot air. while idling, while driving, nothing but hot air. is there a common issue with these? also how do you check the freon...(not mechanically inclined at all)

First I would check under the hood for an ac fuse. If that's intact, take it to your trusted mechanic. No easy way to check freon level without special tools. Those recharge kits can damage the Schrader valve so I would avoid that.

If you can open the hood and turn on the truck and run A/C full blast. See if the compressor clutch is engaging or not. You can tell by weather the whole pulley is turning or not. If it is not the front face of the pulley will be still and not moving and start there.
