Last year my 17 Rebel developed an engine bay squeak but only when cold (below about 40f). I have replace the alternator (x2), the idler pulley, tensioner pulley, tensioner, belt (x2) and it still does it. I finally broke down and took it to the dealership where they proceeded to charge me the $100 deductible and said it was the tensioner. I doubted it, but let them try. Didn't fix it so I took it back again. They then greased the tensioner and say d it was fixed again. I know it's hard to believe, but it's still not fixed. Now, I am moving out of the state this week and don't have time for them to do more. I just want my $100 back at this time since nothing has been fixed.
Your thoughts?
After the 2nd attempt in which they said they greased the tensioner.
