Ac defaults to max ac (recirculate) no lights illuminated.

2022 classic tradesman with the 8.4 U connect and auto climate controls from factory. Finally AC time in NY and noticed today regardless of speed setting the AC defaults to max ac / recirculating mode and the recirculation button does not light up, push it again it lights up and stays in that mode, push it again (deactivate light) ac finally comes in outside air mode. Shut unit off, turn back on and once again will default to max ac with no indication of doing so. Anyone else notice this? Normal? New to rams! Just weird. Had vehicles default to max ac mode but the lights lit up!

If you turn dial all the way down, it defaults to max cooling and recirculating. You have to turn the temp dial back up ever so slightly.

I hate that function. Recirculate should only come on with a button.

I will try this tomorrow, main concern is when it defaults to max ac / recirculation it doesn’t even light up the button to tell you it is

i don't care for Fresh Air coming into the cab, unless i pass gas

but, in your case, i would want it to light up to indicate the setting

Yep! A very interesting thing I noticed today, and on that note expected a little more cooling for ‘max ac’

I will say mine is finicky, I have to basically turn it about 15 degrees (circle) before I can turn off recirculate or AC button. Try about a quarter turn if you haven't already. Otherwise I am lost and you may need service. Good luck.

Well tried the ac this morning while it was 60* out, it did not default to max ac unless you put it up to level 7. So I am guesing when it’s 85 + out it defaults for ‘max cooling and energy savings’ just weird how the max ac / recirculate lights don’t illuminate unless you press them your self.
