Not really sure if this is the correct spot in the forum for this, as I believe it is an electrical fault.

Ever since I got my truck, turning the modes on the AC would have a really long delay and sometimes would not work at all. I am talking switching from AC blowing at your head to switching it to feet, or switching it to defrost, etc. On average it would take 30 seconds to a minute to switch. I never really bothered fixing it. Today, I went out to the truck and the first three settings on the blower are not getting power. I can tell this as the little orange light on the AC button turns off. On the 4th setting, the AC kicks in and blows at full strength.

Does this sound like the switch panel controlling the AC system went bad?

Any help is appreciated. About at the end of the line with this truck with all the issues I have had with it.

Okay, so the first issue is normal. Sometimes it can take 30 seconds or longer for the mode to change. Your Ram uses electrical "mode door actuators" to change the direction of the air. I also have a 2008 1500 4.7, and sometimes it takes around 30 seconds to change settings.

The second issue is most likely a blower motor resistor. It is an easy fix.

Awesome! Replaced the resistor this morning and that was the issue. Thanks a lot. Also thanks for the info on the mode door actuators. Never had a vehicle take this long to switch modes, makes sense now.
