I have a 2012 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi. It lost cooling a few weeks ago. I charged the AC but it was cool outside and I didn’t notice how quickly it lost refrigerant.
I took to a mechanic to run a smoke test to look for leaks but nothing was apparent. Refilled with refrigerant and again seemed to be working fine.
Two days later I am driving to work and AC is fine but I smell coolant when I turned the AC on.
I start hearing a noise almost like a ringing in my ears and by the time I get to work the Ac is blowing hot again.
Any ideas?
