AC trouble

My wife’s 2007 blows pretty cool on the passenger side but it feels like outside air on the drivers side. Is this a blend door actuator problem or something else? If it is a blend door or actuator where is this one located!
Also it has a slow leak somewhere and I tried putting some stop leak in it but it wouldn’t take any in, the ac clutch is engaged and I am showing around 20 psi when I have a gauge hooked up. I don’t know what the high pressure is. Why will it not pull in any stop leak?

Stop leak isn't going to work. A/C uses high pressure, too high for any stop leak to be able to plug a hole. I suggest to take it to someone to have it fixed properly.

Its warm on the drivers side because the system is low on refrigerant

Stalling in getting the leak fixed could end up costing you more later !
If you do try and charge the system be sure you get the right type of FREON !
Using the wrong type is not good :O
And the system should really be checked with gauges !
Using a good AC shop to check the system is a Plus IMO

I know what refrigerant to use, R134a. I know some about ac work and I also know that it shows which refrigerant to use on a label on the core support.

when the system is low pass side is always cold drivers side warm same for the heat when heater core is clogged pass hot driver cold its something to do with the setup of the hvac box and how the air blows across the core and evaporator.

20 on the low side this time of year means it's low on freon BUT might be an indication of a weak/ worn compressor too.
Of course topping it off is the smart thing to do so you can then read your gauges and see how much PSI it's building once a full charge is in.
I've posted a reference chart you (And anyone else) can use that relates to ambient temps and expected pressures at these ambient temps when it's running.


If it's not meeting these pressures after you top off the freon charge, based on your outside temp when checked then you might have a weak/worn compressor but yes - Get that leak fixed because in addition to your freon leaking out, your compressor's PAG (Oil) is probrably leaking out (Slowly) with it too as freon circulates through the system, and that's not good at all.

a very common area for leaks is the (I know i'm gonna spell this wrong schroeder valves. The valves used to fill/empty the freon. Good luck.
