No pictures but just got it back from the body shop yesterday. Over $5k in damage. So glad to get it back! Passenger side front fender, bumper, some front end parts, paint, and gobs of labor. The shop was fantastic, they do over and above work.
Accidents happen, it's why we have insurance.

This thread is a real eye opener. But it does seem the Rams are doing what they are supposed to... protecting the occupants. Thanks everyone for posting.

I gently hit the left side just next to exhaust backing into my driveway. It dented it and pushed it in pretty good. Hit the body and scratched it pretty deep.

$1700 roughly to fix. I decided I’d rather drive a dented rusted truck

Tiped on ifone using Tapatalk and auto correct. Can’t you tell?

They do handle well. I was hit by an F550 towing a trailer with construction equipment that ran a red light. The frames of my glasses got bent and I was a little sore the day after. But no injuries.

I made this guys day with his 3 day old Chevy. I explained to him it takes a lot more room for a 8000 lb truck to stop then it does a 1700 lb car when you for some reason come to a dead stop on the merge ram of the interstate with no traffic.

First week of September got in middle of 5 car chain accident. Front took a bumper & tow hook. Rear was worse than it looked. Rippled box floor an twerked frame under gas tank. All said and done was just short of 11k on a 2012 1500

I hit a deer in the middle of the night last December in my 2014 RAM. Cost 2400.00 to repair the skid plate, front bumper, grille and minor repaint on the left front fender. Luckily the local Chrysler delership has a superb body shop and in less than a week my truck was good as new.

I got hit by a Phlying Phord PH150 doing 40 who blew the light, ripped the front off the truck and send me careening into a steel streetlight pole.

What all happened to that beer-can Aluma-Duty Phord that hit you?

NE Portland in the Lloyd District. I-5 North exit to the Moda Center aka NE Victoria. He blew the light where the exit ramp crosses over NE Weidler.

The Phord was dead. He tried to start it up but it sounded like the engine was loose and rotating in circles under the hood. We looked and it was definitely off the engine mounts and on its side. Dead Phord for sure.

My Ram, on the other hand, ran and despite leaking fluids from every hose and orifice in the front, I was able to move it. As I was moving it out of the intersection and away from the street light post, I got an EVIC warning letting me know that I had a headlight out...10 minutes after the accident occured.

WTF, Ram?!?!? :D

Never mind, didn’t see this post....lol

So far....knock on wood, the only thing so far that happened to mine was a deer hit no more than a month after I got it brand new- can’t find the pics but all I needed was just a new bumper, paint job on the plastic piece between the lights and the bumper, and a new front license plate bracket with a new custom Cowboys plate. Got a set of tow hooks installed, though. Didn’t have them before.

Second, my um... dear old mom kinda pulled a monster truck on the phone pedestal last summer out by her house when she moved the truck and her car outta the way so I could finish mowing....lol. Good thing the truck had the factory painted nerf rails and the factory fender flares because the right rear flare and the right side step rail is what took the damage.

New flare painted, and a new set of aftermarket stainless Laverne step rails later, truck was back to looking new again!

Hit in Feb got it back in October. $5k+ in damage. $10k in rentals.

69 year old lady DUI ran a red light ad caught the back door of my CC. @ 8 months old, 12k miles. Had to weld in a whole side and back corner of the cab. They did a great job from what I can tell. What you can't see in the pics is that the lower corner of the back of the cab buckled like it was supposed to which was hidden by the box.

I had my truck for a 6 days when some idiot threw their door into my truck and dinged the door.
$100 to fix a dime size ding. But can’t see it now

According to my CarFax the P.O bought my truck 7/31/2018, 8/1/2018 had an accident to the right front fender. I don’t see anything so whoever fixed it did an amazing job

I’ll never understand why people want to slow down or stop when trying to merge into traffic.

Yea, apparently neither can I. It cost me a 500 dollar deductible and a 60 dollar a month insurance increase.

Just curious, how will this kind or repair hold up to rust, etc down the road compared to one that never needed repairs? I see a lot of can corners and rockers rusted out in my part of the country. I would hate to have it rust out quicker because of this kind of damage happening. Anybody in the repair industry watching to bring insight?
