Hi Everyone,

This is my first time posting here as I am looking for some information regarding adding the EVIC system to my poverty spec 2011 1500 ST. I purchased the 2011 EVIC gauge cluster and steering wheel from a wrecked 1500 and wanted to add them to my truck for some creature comforts. I was able to swap the non EVIC cluster without any issue as I got it from a truck with similar miles. However, I was unable to make the steering wheel work. I head about the three wire mod but it ended up messing with my cargo and interior light. The three wire mod that I did was:

Red wire from the black passenger side cluster plug jumped to the green/purple wire at the white clock spring plug.
Gray/white Wire at the clock spring plug solid chassis ground.
Green/white wire from the black driver side plug at the gauges, gets jumped to the orange/gray wire at the white clock spring.

I was wondering if I missed anything or didn't wire anything correctly. When I did this, it messed with the cargo lights saying it was on all the time and the door buzzer wouldn't stop. I also made sure to turn on the steering wheel controls in ALFA OBD and JScan with my OB CX.

If anyone has any tips or could help me out it would be appreciated.

Was waiting for someone else who might know what the "three wire mid" is, I have never heard of read about it. Maybe more information would help someone, like exactly what truck was the wrecked vehicle (year, trim, options, etc. plus what additional options the new steering wheel has that you are trying to enable).

The only solution I could offer is to reinstall your original steering wheel with the upgrade MOPAR kit part number WHEELAUDKIT, you could PM Benny at All Mopar Parts in our vendor section to confirm part and kit. This would add the volume and channel changing buttons. But I don't know what other options your new steering wheel has so maybe so maybe this isn't a solution for you. Good luck.

Someone had posted the 3 wire mod pics on another forum but it's been so long ago that it won't let you view them, anyone else ever figure it out and provide pics we could see
