Hi, I'v got a 2017 Ram Bighorn with the UConnect system. I have the factory remote start and am able to roll the windows down with my remote. I'm having issues with it not detecting my Key FOB every time so im guessing the ignition switch is on need of replacement. My question is since I already have the RF system integrated into the truck is adding the push button as simple as adding the button and new FOB or do i need more parts to make this work?

Not detecting the keyfob when you are in the truck starting it or when you are outside the truck trying to lock/unlock doors?

The fob is not detected by the ignition switch, it is detected by the RF hub. Make sure you dont have the fob near a cell phone and check the fob batteries.

As far as adding push to start, you can, but it is more involved than just swapping a couple parts: https://www.ramforum.com/threads/how-to-add-factory-keyless-enter-n-go.134961/

I can start it with the remote and unlock with the remote just fine. Once i put the key in the ignition it reads wrong key FOB on the instrument cluster. It eventually started so its not a permanent issue. I'll replace the remote batteries and go from there. It just makes me nervous not having a mechanical way of starting the truck in case of electrical issue. My last ram was an 03 so i didt have to worry about any of this :)
