I had adjustable pedals on my previous truck (F150) but it isn't on my 18 ram 1500. I see a lot of diy mods, etc on here, has anyone tried to add these to a gen 4 ram? I haven't found in the search on here where it has been attempted. Thanks for any response.

An adjustable brake pedal is not a DIY thing

Gypsy400, why isn't it? Just wondering. A lot of things I would never have heard of being DIY seems to be when looking on this forum . Makes me want to do more DIY .

After some research, I see that some models do come with adjustable pedals.. you would have to find what parts you need to do this but I bet it's not cost effective. I assume there is some sort of special linkage to accommodate the brake pedal to the master cylinder. It would be cheaper to trade up to a different model.

Anything can be done depending on the dollers your willing to spend.

Not questioning anyone and their experience, etc. I did a quick search for parts on eBay and Amazon I think too, and came up with a bug fat zero for parts, etc. I was fascinated by the way it worked on my F150 when I saw how it worked. It even seemed simple if I recall correctly. Haven't looked under the dash of a ram with one to know how they do it. I know there are limits as to what can be practically done . With seeing people upgrading evic, etc, with the odometer changes etc needed, I guess I was beginning to think that anything could be done at home with a few parts and some programming.

A lot of mods come down to needing a determined first person, or access to tools.

Sub'd...I'm keeping my 2014 for at least another 10 years. I would love if this goes somewhere. Can anyone with adjustable pedals chime in on how it works? Is it powered?

I have them on my 2016 BigHorn 2500. I set them at the lowest setting and they have been in same position since I bought the truck. I'll be pulling my interior here soon to do a seat upgrade and will take some pics for you if you're still considering this. Imho it's probably not worth the trouble. I could definitely do without.

Yeah every vehicle I’ve had them on gets the same treatment:
Adjust them as far back as they go, and then never adjust them again

Yes they are power adjustable, the button is on the underside of the steering column, on the left.
I bet there’s a bunch of people that have them and don’t realize it!

My 2017 sport has them.

I like them. My short wife uses them in one position and I use them in another so its certainly not an irrelevant option.

That being said, I would imagine that it would be a significant modification to a truck without them.

I have them....Set it and forget it.
If I didn't have it, I wouldn't add it.

Looks like there are bits of information scattered around other RAM and Jeep sites.

In the third gen looks like it would be a royal PITA, requiring the steering column to come out.

I have them on MY 19 Bighorn trim, (button on lower left dash) which is surprising, considering the low trim level of the truck. My wife had them in her 2010 F150 XLT. Since she was 5' nothing and I am 5'8", it was either move them or the seat when I drove. To be honest, they were adjusted up for her and never moved.

I have a pedal solution (tongue in cheek). When I grew up, people used to screw "blocks" on the pedals of their lil trike bikes so they could reach the pedals, just saying, bet that brings back memories to some folks.,. not a millennial tho, sorry bout that, hee hee. My sense of humor late at night...
