Okay so I have a a 2013 ram 1500, which I'm looking to lift. Now I honestly have no idea how to go bout it. If I need levelling kit, lift kit, different kinds all that. If I need any additional parts involved in the process and if I need bigger rims or tires and if so how big. Sorry for being a complete beginner but have to start somewhere.

You'll need to look at pictures to determine what combination is right for you. There are a lot of different configurations. What is your budget?

No budget at all but cheaper preferably. I'm going for looks over actual performance.

Start with adjustable shocks in the front and a spacer in the rear to level it (or slight rake) and go from there. That's what I'm doing. Bilstein and rancho shocks (just to name a couple) can increase the front height.

I am fairly new at this as well...
I have read these posts for a few days...

This is what i just ordered:

Like the above post says, bilstein front adjustable shocks will give you up to 2.8".
Bilstein Part 24-187367 - 5100 Series Ride Height Adjustable Shock Absorber - - 4 Wheel Parts

Adjustable Read coil blocks 1.0,1.5,2.0" (to set rake you want)
2009-2012 DODGE RAM 1500 w/Rear Coil, 2WD/4WD

1.5" body lift from Zone.
1.5" Body Lift 09-14 1/2 TON 2-4WD - ZOND9150 - Zone Offroad

that will give you around 4" in the front and 3ish in the back depending on your settings. Decent lift for CHEAP.

Incorrect. With leveling kit or bilsteins, yes but with a lift only I'm yet to hear of anyone.

I just said I ordered bilsteins, recommended that to him, then the UCAs have to be monitored. There are 100's of comments on here from either side. I just said be prepared to do them (if necessary).

Hell you can buy a 5inch body lift of you look hard enough. But I personally have always been a firm believer of suspension lift first, then body lift as needed. I got 2" daystar leveling blocks that are sitting around since I got a 6inch lift. PM me if you'd want them.
