After 4-6 inches of lift does anyone need harness extensions?

So my uncle had a Chevy 1500 with 6 inches of lift he said he had to buy harness extension kits for his electrical wires as well as other parts brake lines and such. Has anyone had to do this with our trucks with 6 inches of lift? Also how much wear and tear is added to the drivetrain after 4 inches of lift? Is it mild or significant. Just a few questions I've been wondering the answers to. Thanks guys.

If you install a lift on your RAM you will not need to extend any of the wiring. The rough Country kit comes with brackets to help extend the brake lines, and the ABS wires are simply moved to a different position to accommodate the added height. I would highly recommend ordering a set of extended steel braided brake lines. I really don’t like the idea of the way the brackets are used for the lines. It looks cheap and "rigged". I ordered a pair for my RAM but I have not installed my lift because I waiting on a few more parts.
I hope this helps answer some of your questions.
