I recently hooked an aftermarket android CarPlay screen up in my 2014 Ram 1500 , the connection was pretty easy and straightforward but I lost control of my volume and am/fm tuning knobs as well as the auto ac options (the knob works , but I cannot set the fan functions or seats or defrost from the screen) thankfully the heat still works , it’s cold up here lol

Thank you in advance for any pointers

It could be the wiring harness you use, where did you purchase it from to install a 2018+ radio in your vehicle. Also, are you sure that you used a radio out of a classic and not the Gen 5? Pictures or listing out the actual radio part number would help people to respond. Also, if it is your harness you can get one from @Mpgrimm2
