Satera tuning has a good tidbit up showing the differance between a set of after market coils and the stock coils.
If you don't have facebook, the stock coils out performed the after market coils.
They didn't specify which aftermarket coils, but "RippOff" was mentioned,so you can draw your own conculisions from that, lol
Several comments followed with guys saying they run the stock coils on their 1400 hp cars.
So don't get sucked into the hype about after market coils,if your stock coils are working leave them be.
You can do a home rebuild on the stock coils,by cleaning up the screw contact under the spring, and either cleaning the springs,or replacing them and the rubber boots with new ones from Rock Auto.
I use a dremel carbon steel brush to clean the screw contact.
