I have been going back and forth between the Air Lift and the Timber Grove air bags for my new 2020 PW. While the Timber Grove is more expensive ($200 more) I do like it mounts better than the Air Lift. I am just really finding it hard to justify that extra $200.

For those that have the Timber Grove, why did you choose those over something else. For those that have the Air Lift, what led to your decision for the Air Lift over something else.

Need some help here... so conflicted.

I went with the airlift mainly due to the sale on them at the time and the wireless one compressor. Install was easy and straight forward.

Very happy with my choice! Compressor is in floor compartment behind driver’s seat! Remote sits on the dash!

price was right, plus $150 rebate at the time!

installed Daystar cradles and bags at home! Pretty smooth install!

I wish they still had the same rebate going. Currently I can only get a rebate if I have a shop install them - unless I am reading things wrong.

I went with Air Lift because so many people had good results with them here. I called Air Lift and got excellent service and all my questions answered. I didn’t use the cradles but went with the stock hardware because I use mine as a farm truck rather than off roading. There’s not many placing to off road we’re I’m at and the places we do have will pin stripe the crap out of a full size truck. I can’t tell a difference in ride quality with the Air Lift stock hardware but theoretically it should ride a little stiff. But I’m old school back when truck would beat the crap out of you and only a ***** would complain about it.

AirLift airbags and mounts are made in Michigan. Unless something has changed Timber Grove uses airbags sourced from overseas, but they make their own brackets.

This is with 40 PSI in the bags and I’m guessing around 2500 lbs in the back. Truck handled the payload perfectly so very satisfied with Air Lift.

That is what I wanted to see - right there. For the most part, mine will be a Farm Truck too - but we have some nasty hills and mud in some of the pastures. Other times I will be towing heavier loads (tractor, travel trailer, bed full of round posts, etc).

Airlift it is...

Can you throw a pic up of the compressor in the floor storage? Interested in how it fits. Did you put the manifold in there too or just the compressor?

PW works great as a farm truck. I was going to put a gooseneck hitch in my bed to transport my tractor but calculated that being close to 15,000 and thought that was pushing it too far. My neighbor buys hay from me and has a F350 flatbed diesel with a 34 ft trailer to haul my tractor if I ever need it. It used to be a 4 hour chore to spread fertilizer with the tractor. Now, I hook the wagon to the PW, disengage the sway bar and get it done in 45 minutes!

Never heard of Silver Grove, but the AirLifts with cradles have worked great for a couple of years now with the FWC in the bed (9,450lbs dry). I went with the ones that don't have the internal bumps as I didn't want to limit upward travel. I live out West, so my PW sees some significant off-road use.

Almost 2 years with no issues!

It’s a little tight in there, but not too bad!

Thanks man! I have been considering getting this setup and was wondering about how it would fit.

I can say AirLift customer service is top notch. I have an AirLift system and the compressor started coming on every time I started the truck. The pressure in the bags just kept going up so no leaks. I updated the firmware but that did not solve the issue. Called AirLift and within 5 minutes of calling they were shipping me a replacement control unit and return tag. The unit has been fine ever since. No hassle, no "did you try this?", it is your truck, it is the weather, etc. Just good old customer service that solved the customers problem first call without any BS.

Are you able to set the compressor to run 0 PSI with the Airlift system.
