Air Bag opinions needed

Are you able to set the compressor to run 0 PSI with the Airlift system.

AirLift recommends a minimum of 5 PSI to keep the bags from getting pinched or creased. The app and remote for my system will not let me go lower than 5 PSI.

I opted for the Airlift 5000 Ultimate because I like having the internal jounce bumper in the event that a bag fails. I've run two sets of Airlift 1000 on my previous 1500 trucks and the service from Airlift was fast. The bags keep my truck level while towing my 5w, which I needed because I used a 2" spacer on the front to allow running a V-plow without dragging the edges in travel mode.

So, my Airlift 5000 Ultimates, Daystar cradles and the Airlift WirelessOne came in today. Hopefully I will get around to installing them this weekend!

According to Airlift, the bags with the internal bumpstop are safe to run at 0psi. And I can confirm, after 4 years of running them at 0psi when empty I have had absolutely no issues. Even jumping the truck through sand dunes.

My only complaint with airlift is that their brackets rust in about five seconds the coding doesn’t stay on very well at all at least up here in the northern climate other than that their customer service is awesome and their bags are great

Been 4 northern michigan winters for mine. They are not much worse looking than the rest of the undercarriage.

Maybe the dodge brackets are better!! My Silverado ones were bad

That is true - but he was asking about the compressor. The compressor will not allow you to go below 5psi.

Never heard of Silver Grove, but the AirLifts with cradles have worked great for a couple of years now with the FWC in the bed (9,450lbs dry). I went with the ones that don't have the internal bumps as I didn't want to limit upward travel. I live out West, so my PW sees some significant off-road use.

Assuming that is a decimal point typo. You mean 945 lbs? Hows the truck carry the FWC BTW? I have a project M on order.
