Hi, new to this site just bought a new ram 1500 bighorn was looking at a s&P intake looked at the install instructions looks fairly easy, is there any problems taking off the wheel liner or any other problems that could be something to look out for thanks

You don't have to take the inner fender off. You can shove your hand underneath to install the big bolt on the bottom. I removed it when I installed mine, but have taken it off a couple times without removing the inner fender. It will give/bend enough for you to do it.

Like the LMI both of these manufactureres make open intakes.
You get a lot of throttle noise, but no cold air.

Comparision of an LMI to an S&B is absurd because of the heat saturation an open filter lives in. S&B preserves the ability to draw colder air through the right fender and insulate it from the ambient engine compartment temps.

You can get a dry filter for the S&B from Moe's.
Wish'd I'd read this before I ordered a k&n! Now I think I'll check out vararam. Is this just a "bolt on" air intake,or is tuning required?

Tuning is not required for any intake, but tuning will only enhance the gains that you see from all the supporting mods like an intake or free flowing exhaust.
