I am looking at McGaughys rear drop springs for my 2014 CCSB 2wd (2" part num 44055). Is anyone running Air Lift 60818 with these springs?

Has anyone cut factory rear springs and installed helper bags?

I'm trying to determine if Durango helper bags are required for a mild drop (1.5-2") or if Ram bags will still fit.

Thanks for any input.

I didn't run them in my 2" drop springs. But I wish I had. I made sure to run them once I went to a 4" drop. And the airlift1000 bags will probably be cheaper and work just as good for you.

Go with the Durango bags. The Ram bags will work, but they bulge a bit on the 2" drop coils.

Have you encountered customers with this setup? I wasn't sure if the Durango bags would be tall enough to do much of anything. Thanks.

Yes. I even ran this setup on my own 2011 crew cab before going with a full 2/3 drop. They still work as they should and fit in the coil nicely.

The stock height Ram bags are too stuffed in that 2" drop coil, so they bulge out the sides of the coil.

Moe, do you know the height of the spacers with the 60818 Ram kit? Would trimming the height of those be an option?

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I will give the Durango bags a try.

The Spacer on the Ram kit is only 1/2" thick.

FWIW I spoke with Airlift and based on my 2" shorter springs height/diameter they recommended a kit from a Land Rover. I wasn't impressed with how short the bags were, so I went back to bags for stock height and have never had an issue.

Did you just order the complete Durango kit? Part # 60824

Or do you have to order the Ram kit and swap out the bags? Just didn't know if the spacers or anything else involved were different between Ram and Durango.
