So I’m wondering if anyone out there has replaced or modified their air suspension links? There are aftermarket adjustable links available but they are ridiculous on the price. My tractor trailer is set up the same way pretty much, the top and bottom of each link is actually connected with a piece of rubber line and hose clamps so they can be adjusted. Has anyone seen or heard of anyone doing this? The stock ride height isn’t the look I’m going for and would like to have it sit higher all the time

how much higher? There are build your own link threads on here where you can order parts from Grainger or such and make your own adjustable links for cheap. There are some 3D plastic printing ones that are cheaper but not adjustable.

Depending how much higher there are some who swap their front and rear links to level truck as the rear links are set to allow higher heights to give stock truck some rake.

If your going down this road I’m sure you have understood ride quality will change be “harsher” (subjective to each im sure) with airbags having more air being firmer. I’ve heard some say not bad and others say rides like dump truck.

Since I posted this my compressor has **** the bed. The price of a new one is $5-800, so now I’m looking into my options with that situation.

Did the compressor actually fail or is the system froze? It's very common if there was a leak and the nitrogen has bled out that there's moisture in the system.

For the links, you can reprogram the settings for the sensors with AlfaOBD. I don't remember the thread at the moment but I found it here and did it myself last year. I'm on daystar spacers and reprogrammed the sensors on stock links.

Well I was thinking it was froze up at first. Being a trucker I’m used to dealing with air issues. I have put airline dryer in it and that seamed to help. We had some extremely cold weather recently and the compressor started to fail completely. The pitch of it changed when it was running. It sounded really low and grumbly. After getting it inside on the lift, mostly what I found was wiring issues. The plugs mostly. I cleaned every plug I could find and used dielectric on all of them. I am purchasing a complete air system tomorrow from a fellow Ram Head. The system is brand new. A dealership had done a total replacement on his 2012 1500 Laramie, he got the truck back and removed everything and replaced it with a 4” lift. I’ll probably be swapping everything on mine. As much as I love this truck, I’m going to repair/replace everything that needs it and selling it an old school non computer truck. Thanks for the input

Where are you from? I built my own links to level the front end and it took me less than 30 mins to make and set up.
