Hey guy, im chasing down a sputter/stalling issue

I have no idea what causes it, and id like to fix it

Over the last 3000 miles the truck stalled on me 4 times, and stuttered maybe a dozen or two

I could not find any stored codes (also couldn't connect to the transmission, btw) so I'm hoping to figure out if I can keep Alfa open in a logmode so I can catch it if it happens again?

I believe this may be what you need? It's worth a shot.

I'm not certain as I haven't actually used it, so am curious as to how it works.

It looks like you'd have to start it recording each time you start driving, then dig through all the tabs and hundreds of data points to find what you need.

Definitely report back here what you figure out.

Clean the intake air temp probe, not difficult. It's fragile so don't break it. If you're using an oiled filter this is the first thing I'd check.

Per Google

A faulty Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor confuses the engine's computer (ECU/PCM) about air density, leading to incorrect fuel mixtures, causing symptoms like rough idling, poor acceleration, hard starting, stalling, bad fuel economy, and triggering the Check Engine Light. It can make the engine run too rich (wasting fuel) or too lean (power loss) because the ECU can't properly adjust fuel injection for optimal combustion.
