It’s called special packages on mine. Both are near the top.

Has anyone messed with the "Brand" setting with Alfa? I used the AE tool to set my HVAC to Single Zone ATC last year, but one of the known issues doing that with the AE is wiping the Brand info from the BCM. I almost tried resetting it last night, but their was a note saying something to the effect of changing that setting could cause unexpected behavior, so figured I would ask here before trying it. It would be my luck, it would brick my BCM.

Wow it is listed twice haha I was searching all over for a second setting and its in front of my face. Maybe I changed one and then the other by mistake. I will change them both to RAM 1500 and see if I can get it to show up again. Thanks!

I have change my brand setting, and then changed it back. I have only used Alfa though. I can’t say what it would do being that you’ve used the AE tool as well.

Edit: Disregard. I was tired. Wrong person. Lol

It you’re going in to have your remote start programming done, all this will be a mute point as you’ll be starting over anyway. It’ll be fresh with only Alfa.

Couldn't agree more with dealerships being no help! I went to get my code yesterday and they wouldn't give it to me. I stopped at one I have never been to before because they are on my way home. I will try my usual spot after work today or tomorrow morning.

That's BS, it's your truck you have the right to the PIN. Tell them you need it to have a key made or in case you lose your key. The dealer I went to (not where I bought the truck) gave it to me no questions asked.

I told them I was going to reprogram a key too! I really didn't push the issue at all. The guy at the parts counter said no instantly. Anyone in AZ, stay away from Tempe Dodge if you want a PIN.

My dealership is more afraid of me from when they damaged my truck during recall work. I don't think I will have a problem there.

I just enabled Fog Lamp DRL with this. Worth every penny! The genie would have cost me $200.

Plus if you get tired of that location, you can always change it. Genie can’t touch that..

What's the difference between the Fog Lamp DRL setting and just leaving your fog lights on all the time? (Which is what I tend to do). I'm not trying to be snarky, I really want to know if there's a difference. I've installed the app and ordered the reader, it should be here tomorrow and I'm lining up what I want to do first.

I wish this thing had been around last year when I did my power folding mirrors, it would have saved me most of the $300 I paid for the Genie.

Also, some insurance companies will give you a discount for DRLs, USAA certainly does.

So what does that do for you? Turn on the fog lights all the time as a daytime running light?

Some of these things you guys are enabling are obvious but others not so much on what they do. For those adding things throw a description up of what it does if you can.

DRLs (daytime running lights) make you more visible on the road, which is why a few insurance companies provide discounts for them (safety feature). They turn on when you put it in anything other than park and can be activated in any configuration (highs, lows, signals, fogs) but not more than one at a time with this tool anyway.

I turned them on last week or 2 weeks ago? and noticed this week, alot more attention is being drawn when the truck is on the road.

I normally park far away in the parking lot - to help with dumb drivers door dings, found a 3rd gen ram parked right next to me 1 day out of the entire empty sea of parking.....

Filling up @ gas stations other rams owners kinda stare and dont say anything, could be my white vinyl emblem inlays over my blacked out emblems, or maybe they saw my DRL and were super confused that theirs are never on... haha

I had another 4th gen pass me hard in the fast lane then pull over 2 lanes and let me go by and followed me till i exited the freeway. Same possible reason, he is confused about DRL or my vinyl emblems??

STecoD and I have been playing around a little trying to get the memory to work in our Laramie seats. We haven't had much luck getting the memory to function but we have had some success with the easy out seat setting. We enabled the seat memory and the easy out seat function in the CSM menue. Mine seems to work well. StecoD seemed to get his working but then his stopped. When I turn off the key my seat moves all the way back. When I get back and turn on the ignition the seat moves back to where I had it previously set. We have both gone into the memory seat module and try to adjust the parameters to get the memory seats to work but it keeps saying that is not within the correct parameters and it fails a test. We both hooked our memory seat modules up to the CAN system via a harness DeereGuy made for us that goes from the CAN to pins five and six in the yellow seat plug. Not quite sure why the module won't adjust itself or work but we will keep playing with it. 84aebd2ada9f1982e5ad77241e6bf654.jpg

This is the same thing I did for mine, and I can confirm it does work on my 18 2500 tradesman.
