anyone have any idea about changing the number of blinks that the intermediate blinker blinks?

As far as we can tell, it's hard coded into the system and can't be changed.

FYI I have not set any setting for my headlights with Alfa. They are still set on quad headlamps which is what they came with and I am using the retroshop harness. Shutters function as they should.

Not sure if you have tried, disconnect mx+ from truck, restart device and try again

Haven't tried that, I'll give it a go... Is there anything special that I need to do with the OBDlink MX+ other than just plug it in that I might have missed doing?

That was going to be my suggestion. When you disconnect, also make sure you force close out Alfa to ensure it is a fresh start.

I believe it's how the adapters are wired. The shutter feed wire is tied directly to the high Beam wire on his harness so it activates like it would on a truck that had projectors from the factory

Shouldn't be anything special you need to do. Only other thing I can figure is if you have the wrong pin code entered but I believe that is a different message than what you are receiving.

It's possible that their could be a bug in the latest update. This was posted a few day's ago, this is a know working version for updating the rf hub. Another user found it, installed it and was able to use it. It's a option if you can't get the version you have installed to work.

Yeah, I intentionally tried a wrong pin code and it gave me a different message.

You can update the mx+ by using the app (mx+ app not Alfa) but I haven’t heard of anyone having to do that to get it to work. I would try the known working version of Alfa first.

1500ram12, Ghost_RAM, thank you for your help, I tried all those things and it didn't make a difference, but I did have my Tazer still plugged in on the T-harness/security bypass and that was apparently my issue, as it worked after I unplugged it. Thanks again for helping me track down the issue.

Now... my issue is that it doesn't try to start, it powers everything up like it's going to, but never cranks it to start. I've gone back into AlfaOBD and checked to see what my setting were to make sure they hadn't reverted to the old ones. They are all as they should be according to the step by step instructions I was told to use the other day for remote start.

I did reset the RF hub, and wait about 40 minutes to attempt the remote start.

Nothing shows up saying the hood is open or anything.

Hood ajar voltage goes from 11.05v - 5.25v for the open/close.

Any thoughts or ideas about what to check next?

Take the truck for a quick drive, then try to remote start it

Take it for a short drive. Turn engine on/off a couple of times. I had the same issue. Triple checked everything. Went for a drive then it worked

There are a lot of posts in this thread, please excuse my not reading through all of them to search for an answer.

So I had time yesterday to use the Bluetooth MX and the Alpha app to change the tire pressure settings on my truck. I paired it to my phone, opened the app and started looking around. I didn't make any changes at this time.

Wife calls me in for lunch, I turn off the truck, unplug the MX, had lunch and came back out to the truck.

I plug the MX back in, turn the key on, and I get messages....Service ABS, service trailer brake, Part assist disabled, 4wd system disabled.

I turn the key off, unplug the MX and start the truck, messages are still there. Go for a ride, speedometer is not working, ABS light is on.

I did pull a code...U1412 "Implausible vehicle speed receive"

I did not drive the truck again until today, that's when the service electric throttle message came to join the others.

Any ideas?

did you go in and "LOOK" at the options or just had the app started?
also did you look at the configuration option under the "battery" tab / second from the key to connect if you did
go to top and save to google drive / view log do it again now and the NEW settings if any should be below the original settings log

I would check vehicle line / year also make sure the engine / transmission / abs are configured to a "normal looking" setting
also first post has a link to a google drive with other peoples settings download to use as a "base" comparison

Go to the OBDLink forum where the engineers monitor and post.
I have had similar, they replaced my MX with a MX+.
Register and paste in your scenario. Please.

I see people have used this to go from the 26 gallon tank to the 32, would it work to input a 50 gallon if you change the liters correctly

I have tried to keep up with this thread....

I have a 2018 2500 and I have already used Alfa to reset the TPMS and tire size. I am going to put LED highs and lows and maybe some license plate LEDs.
I DO NOT need any Canbus adapters, correct?
I will set the headlights to HID or LED?
I will set any other bulbs I change to LED and disable the rear light DTC, correct?
Thanks for your patience
Bryan
