I'd love to see pics of people who replaced non black interior pieces to black. I have a regular cab Ram R/T and I would love to get rid of the the tan pillars, etc but all my research said its tough and they may not make black pieces for it. Looks easier to do on crew cab since Rebels are all black. I don't really want to paint pieces either. Just curious what people may have done or found out?

Curious about this myself... was tempted to just paint them but rather not. Replacing the headliner looks somewhat difficult.

I replaced only a-pillars and the trim piece that is next to the window on rear doors. Then when i started researching on b and c-pillars and headliner cost, i decided to leave it at that. Those black a pillars do make it look different tough. My other option was to paint/dye the remaining pieces and maybe wrap the headliner in black suede.

I would love to know if they made black pillars for the regular cab trucks. I think they do for the front pillars but not sure about the rear. I could go without the headliner and leave that light

I cant remember who but someone on here replaced the headliner with black suede, and for all the pillars and plastic they spray painted black. Turned out amazing, I think of it often..but the job is huge

I remember this, and I can't find it... but I know he had a hell of a time getting the new headliner in place...

So... I thought about spray painting and just went outside and tried to pop the plastic off the back door next the windows (crew cab) to start with that. It is held in by 3 clips... the bottom 2 clips fell into the door, so I stopped there. Sux. Anyone have a how to for removing these? Also... how would you paint the B Pillar with the seat belt mounted to it?

Also... for whoever wants it:

You remove the cap over the seat belt and then take out the bolt holding the seat belt up. I've those are off the panel should be able to come out.

I would invest in a trim tool kit to help pry panels and clips lose without marring or breaking plastic. I bought a 12 piece set from Amazon for $12 or so.

I did this in my Hummer I used a fabric spray paint on my headliner. It's a lot to pull out mine was one big piece and took my time to not bend it up. The fabric paint doesn't make the material feel brick hard, its different of course but not like i thought it might be. What a difference though from all tan to black on the headliner really made the inside feel different.

I'm going to give spray paint a try on the A pillars. Anyone have recommendations on color/brand to somewhat match the dash black?

Not sure about color, but SEM paints seem to get excellent reviews even from body shops and the like.

this is th thread about the guy who did his suede headliner https://www.ramforum.com/threads/suede-headliner.117008/ I just finished mine and it was a pain! Suede dose not strech as well as headliner fabric and while I was able to do it without wrinkles it took forever, the sun visors were easy but I did use spray glue to help hold the fabric in place! I also purchased all the black parts except the seatbelts, dome light, and overhead console. I dyed my seatbelts https://www.ramforum.com/threads/bl...verting-top-half-to-back.147565/#post-2088650 and I used sem SEM15243 for the dome light and console (matches really well)

Also headliner isn't that bad to remove! remove all the seats-remove pillars-remove pass rear door weatherstripping.... once its loose turn it and angle it out the pass rear door!

How is the dye holding up so far? are the seat belts ok afterwards? do you think the black dye would work on the actual a and b pillars as well?

Okay, so I also have a regular cab and did some research on blacking out the headliner....

The black a-pillars found on the quad and crew cab trucks should fit the regular cabs considering the grey ones have the same part number from crew to regular cab. They make them in plain black and black with leather trim around the grab handle.

They do not make black b-pillars for the 4th gen regular cabs butttt if you wait for the parts to become available for the new 2500 regular cabs, they offer some of the regular cabs with black b-pillars that look to be the same layout as our 4th gen's b-pillars (the new 2500's use 4th gen cabs).

Headliner has to be custom work. Some of the new 2500's do have black headliners but the overhead console layout was changed and does not look interchangeable.

All the accessories (visors, mics, overhead console, hanger hooks, and dome light) are offered in black trim from Mopar just have to do some research on part numbers.

Hope this helps and post some photos if you go through with it!

This helps a lot. Where did you find out the info about getting the black b pillars for the 2500 truck? So they are making a regular cab 2500 for 2019+ years???

Yessir. The reg cabs are only dead for the 5th gen 1500's but the new 2500's are essentially just a facelift and refreshed interior with the same body. I saw it in a video first about the interior but if you go to the configurator and pick a reg cab 2500 Big Horn and add the sport appearance package you get a black headliner.
