from what I have read these alpine systems are trick, does anyone have the schematics to how it works and where all the parts are to it. My two door speakers have quit working so I'm assuming its a dead channel in the amp.

sounds goofy now with no door speakers... and I did some searching on the forum but found nothing to my issue

Both door speakers quit? If it did, then TWO channels quit.

Yeah, well ok 2 channels... but yes both did. now they are working again now but the whole system sounds different and the center channel is more pronounced..

Went and looked at system options at lunch. I'm thinking of just swapping out everything.. not sure if I'll have a shop do it or if I'll do it myself.. the only thing I'm fuzzy about on a install how to interface the steering controls to a Alpine or Kenwood Nav deck.

Should be doable.

From what the shop was telling me its actually easier to just change everything than try to add amps remotely and such. This was at a actual custom shop not a best buy kinda of shop where all they know how to do is plug things in... :roflsquared:

We'll see if I do it.. gotta sneak it into the budget and still have to decide what my plans are with the truck before I go spending 3k on a stereo to just get rid of it when it give me more mechanical problems

It seems that this issue falls in the category of your earlier thread in that you should just trade/sell the headache and put the money into the next vehicle. You said you're getting Jeep?

Yeah, but I was planning on having both jeep and the R/T.
This stereo stuff isn't a deal breaker just a excuse to upgrade, the motor or drive train issues are an excuse for me to upgrade the whole truck and buy another one lol.

either way of what I do with the truck it wont be till after I get the GF her charger before the baby comes.. then after the baby comes I'll be looking to purchase the jeep and then the R/T can sit or get sold for another or something else for a commuter. I have till decemberish to decide what I will do with my truck and will probably change my mind 5 times inbetween.
