I'm looking to add 2 12" subs to my 2015 crew cab but I'm in a predicament on where to pull the signal from. Is the signal to the factory 8" sub cut off to not go below a certain frequency, or would that be an ideal line to tap into?

The alternative is pulling signal from the rear doors but I cant imagine this would offer any benefit.

I just grabbed the signal off the sub

use an LC2i in front of your amp, The Accu Bass feature makes all the difference :)

That amppro runs about $300 i'll have to do some homework on it.

Was aiming for a $1000 budget.
Thinking a hifonics brutus amp, not sure which $200 give or take
Two alpine type r 12's $350
Fox box or similar $250
Infinity dash and rear door speakers $300

If you go with the AmpPro you could do a 5 channel amp :)

I thought you were just going to push the subs and use factory for speakers

I went all out on my last 2 systems but with not being able to change the rams radio out, I dont think it will be worth amplifying the factory radios signal. Dont want to dive into signal processors and all that, just want better sound for the daily driver

Having gone all out once and then upgrading everything again a year later (yes, I'm an idiot), if there is any chance of you adding more in the future, start with the PAC unit.

The first time we did my system we had a ****load of issues getting a good, full range, signal out of the Alpine. The PAC makes this step trivial and is ABSOLUTELY worth the money vs having to keep trying things to get it right.

I have a 75wrms x4 @4ohm jl amplifier i'm not currently using for anything. Wouldn't I have to cut into the factory wiring to send signal from amp to each speaker though, or is there a harness available

To run an amp to each speaker you would either have to use the factory wiring by removing it from the Alpine amp or run new wiring to each speaker.

Originally you just wanted to add a sub and amp. For that you can just pull from the PAC into the sub amp.
