I just noticed how you can see my alternator through the passenger wheel well on my 2019 Ram Classic.
Is this supposed to be like this? This can't be good for the alternator to be exposed like this as it rains quite a lot in South Louisiana. Thanks

maybe it's the camera angle but it seems like that plastic wheel well liner is pushed inwards?
To answer you question, you can see a bit of the alternator on the Gen4 trucks. It's not going to get splashed by much water if the liner is in place.

On my 2011 Ram 1500, my alternator is to the left of the throttle body, inch Or so lower. I have long tubes that are showing in that exact area where your alternator is sitting.

Mine has a 6” lift so that area of the liner is very visible but I don’t feel like I can/have ever been able to see my alternator like that.

maybe your liner has moved/deformed?

I’m assuming OP has the 3.6. That’s why you can see the alternator. It’s not mounted in the same spot as the 5.7.
