I'm looking at a MagnaFlow cat back, and the going prices from what I see are between 820 - 850. I see the same system from amazon sellers for like 200 bucks cheaper, and it's new in box. Is their any difference where I buy it, or has anyone had an issue buying from through Amazon?

I bought my magnaflow muffler from amazon. You don't need a cat back system on these trucks. It is a lot cheaper to buy the muffler and have it welded in. I would save the remaining money for a tune. FRP does great tunes and made a HUGE difference in performance and driveability.

Well, it's labeled a cat back, but in reality I'm removing my cats, in place of a off road y pipe and headers. I really only want the muffler, 5" tips, and the piping to remove the resonators....

Bought quite a few things from amazon. Had to send one item small item back as it was faulty but that can happen anywhere. They ship the same way as anyone else. If the item isn't sold directly by amazon, then check out the seller reviews and return policy etc.

I had my resonators removed for $40 at the same muffler shop who welded in the muffler. 5" can get expensive. What you are wanting to do is a VERY expensive way of going about it, but it will be a complete kit.

you should definitely pay more from a more well-known vendor than Amazon. Save the low-priced Amazon inventory for the rest of us :p

True you do not need a cat-back but if you can snag the MF-CB system for around $600, it is not a bad deal. Hottexhaust sells it for I think $623 shipped. Considering you get nice rolled 5" tips, makes the deal a bit better. Still a little more than buying separate but you could also sell your stock system for $100 on craigslist (all of this referring to a bolt-in mufflex/other solution. Welding a muffler in will obviously be the cheapest but also not removable or savings is negated).
