Am I reading this correctly? is this what is wrong w my amp install? I need to connect the rca adapter to 2 speaker level inputs to work?and if so WHY does it need 2? is one just not a strong enough signal or something?

Sorry I'm going crazy trying to figure out why my subs didn't work.

I am not sure about one or two inputs. I have completed many sub installs but I have never used one speaker input.

On the other side of your cab in the same spot is going to be the other speaker wires. The other side is going to be green with grey stripes. The amp u have is a digital amp so it could be wanting both side RCA inputs before it allows ac volts to the subs.

It won't take long to tap the other side, and u will end up needing it any way to sound correctly. Bass from only the left input will not be duplicated correctly by the subs. If the bass tracks was laid down dominate left or right like some older rock songs it gonna sound like shizznet. The bass tracks are not always laid down even left and right so keep that in mind.

Good luck. If it doesn't work walk away for a few hours and come back at it with a voltmeter. If the subs are getting ac volts at the output of the amp then pull the subs out. If you find 0 ac volts at the amp outputs then work your way backwards up the electrical flow.

Do you have an aftermarket stereo and did you disconnect the battery? Many aftermarket headunits will turn the sub settings to Off when you disconnect the battery. Happened to me once and I just about tore the whole system apart before I figured it out.

You will need a (+) and (-) on RCA adaptors. Keep in mind a simple needs a complete path to work. If you have the (+) you need a neg or ground to complete the circuit. The opposite is true if you have the ground connected. Most RCA plugs the stinger is positive.

technically you can use the signal from 1 speaker ad just connect both inputs to the loc to that one speaker. If you are currently using 2 speakers for the inputs to the loc and you are not getting output.

1. is one of the inputs out of phase?
2. which speakers did you grab the signal from (i heard the front door is the best to)?
3. how many subs are running? i one of them wired out of phase?
